What we collect, and why
This is a static website. There are no user accounts, and we do not take bookings or payments. We only process personal data in the situations below.
Contact form and newsletter sign-up
When you use our contact form or sign up for our newsletter, you send us your name, your email address, and, for the contact form, your message. Both forms are processed by Web3Forms, a form service that delivers the submission to us by email.
We use these details only to answer your message or to send you the newsletter you asked for. We do not sell them or share them for marketing by others.
Analytics, only after consent
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked. These tools load only after you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. If you decline, or do nothing, they do not load.
When they run, Google receives information such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google sets cookies to tell visits apart.
The optional map
Some pages offer a map. It does not load automatically. Only after you click "Show map" does your browser load the Leaflet map library from unpkg.com and map tiles from OpenStreetMap.
At that moment your IP address is sent to those providers, as with any request for a file from their servers. Their own privacy policies apply to that request.
Links to Booking.com
Our hotel links to Booking.com are affiliate links, as our affiliate disclosure explains. The link tells Booking.com that you came from our site.
Once you click through, you are on Booking.com, and Booking.com's own privacy policy applies. We do not receive your name, contact details, or payment details from a booking.
Fonts
Our fonts are self-hosted on this website. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other font service when you read our pages.
Your cookie choice
We store one small item in your browser's local storage to remember your cookie choice, so the banner does not appear on every page. It contains your choice only, not your identity, and it stays on your device.
Legal bases
We rely on two legal bases for processing personal data:
- Consent for analytics, for loading the optional map, and for the newsletter. You give it by accepting analytics cookies, clicking "Show map", or signing up.
